Our Work
With the grace of God and the great efforts of our founder Members, Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri stepped into the field of health care for poor people residing nearby who could not afford the exorbitant cost of medical facilities and Doctors. Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri is instrumental in providing OPD facilities at a nominal cost of Rs 50/- to the needy people and at Rs 30 with medicines to the people having BPL cards and needy people.

In this endeavor, at present 37 Doctors having specialization in Medicine, ENT, Eye Care, Dermatologists, Cardiology, Pediatric, Physiotherapy, Homeopathy, and Dental with the active support of 50 Paramedical Staff are offering their services at Arya Samaj D-Block Vikas Puri.
​
In addition, Lab Tests, X-rays, Dental X-rays, OPG, and ECG facilities are available at less than 50% cost as compared to market rates. Around 700 patients of poor strata are benefitting from the above facilities.

Education:

FREE COACHING CLASSES:-
Free coaching classes for students of 5th onwards under Swami Shraddhanand Coaching Centre are being provided to needy students. Around 140 Students are attending and deriving the benefits. The overwhelming response from students is providing impetus to the Members of Arya Samaj looking after the project. Lots of appreciation from different sections of Society is being received.

SCHOLARSHIP TO MERITORIOUS STUDENTS FOR HIGHER STUDIES:-
A scholarship scheme for meritorious students has been launched for students who cannot afford tuition fees. Under the scheme, the tuition fees of the students are being reimbursed.

ACCOMMODATION FOR STUDENTS PREPARING FOR CIVIL SERVICES:-
Delhi Pratinidhi Sabha has been sponsoring students for Civil Services Coaching for the last 6 years. The students are providing accommodation, free coaching through renowned Institutes as per their chosen subject, and meals. A few Students have been accommodated by Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri at its premise free of cost.

TRAINING & COACHING TO AGNIVEERS :-
Students who are preparing for Agneepath Scheme are being trained free of cost by Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri. Physical Trainers and Teachers have been raked in for the project. 70 students in two batches have benefitted from this project.
Events:
YOGA CLASSES:-
Free yoga classes for men and women are being held at Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri both in the morning & evening. At present more than 60 people are deriving advantage in three batches.

SESSIONS TO INCULCATE AWARENESS AMONG SOCIETY ON VARIOUS ISSUES:-
Different sessions are organized to inculcate awareness among the residents of the area on various issues ranging from Health, Breast Cancer, Heart, and Religious preaching.

WEEKLY SATSANG & DAILY YAJ :-
Daily Yaj is performed by Surya Dev Shastriji at Arya Samaj 'D' Block Vikas Puri in an effort to bring more and more people to Arya Samaj and one of the most important properties of Yaj is it ultimately helps make the environment pollution free. Every Sunday, a learned person imparts motivational Vedic teachings. The Saptahik Satsang has become very popular among the residents over a period and around 100 to 150 people are attending the session.
HEALTH CAMPS:-
Arya Samaj D Block has been organizing health camps with the help of NGOs and various Hospitals. The main aim to organize the camps is to bring awareness among the residents as to how to remain healthy. The camps are held for making them aware of Heart-related issues, orthopedics, cancer with Mammography tests, free sugar, Blood Pressure, and Bone density tests.
More Sewa:
FREE TIFFIN SERVICES TO SENIOR CITIZENS:-
Free Tiffin service, twice a day, has been started for Senior citizens living alone in the Vikas Puri area free of any charges. The scheme has garnered a good response.

HASTSAL UNIT:-
Arya Samaj D-Block has established another Arya Samaj at Hastsal area with a view to strengthening the Samaj and making available the facilities to a large number of people. At present, Saptahik Yaj is performed.
Besides the above, Lab facilities and OPD in Medicine and Homeopathy have also been started for the residents of the area. Residents of the area are raking benefits from OPD in Medicine, Gynecology, and Homeopathy, and Collection Centre for Lab tests is presently going on.

DAYANAND VATIKA :-
Arya Samaj D Block has adopted a park that has been renamed DAYANAND VATIKA and has been maintaining it for a long with a view to maintaining greenery in the area.

WIDOW / POOR GIRLS MARRIAGE:-
Arya Samaj helps poor girls and Widows in their marriages by providing all facilities including some essential items for starting a new phase of life if anyone approaches us.
